PDX Acupuncture & Wellness has landed on E Burnside at the 811 Shops Building across from the Jupiter Hotel. I’ve created the same calming and restorative atmosphere my patients have always relied on. The room is quiet, warm, and intentionally designed to help your system settle the moment you walk in. This is where your transformation begins!

In person, I offer acupuncture, cupping, women’s health support, stress and anxiety care, pain management, custom herbal medicine, and functional nutrition in a calm and restorative treatment space.

Virtually, I offer Self’ish’ Health Hormone Health Consults and Custom Herbal Formula Consults.

My availability at 811 Burnside is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 10am-3pm and 2pm-7pm alternating weeks.

I accept Motor Vehicles, Work Comp, FSA and HSA at this location.

About Lara (OR License #AC1068)

I am a Licensed Acupuncturist, herbalist, cupping specialist, and Certified Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner with 19 years in clinical practice, seeing patients at my office on East Burnside in Portland. My approach draws from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cosmetic Acupuncture and microneedling, Functional Nutrition, and sound healing with crystal bowls, woven together with deep, unhurried conversation about what is actually going on in your body and your life.

The path here started in a small fishing town in Alaska, where I stumbled into a kombucha-scented apothecary run by a local healer whose presence quietly redirected my entire life. That encounter, alongside long childhood illnesses that left me feeling unseen and alone, planted something I have been building toward ever since: a practice where your symptoms are taken seriously, your full story is welcome, and your care is as layered and dynamic as you are.

I specialize in perimenopause and hormonal transitions, musculoskeletal and chronic pain, autoimmune and digestive disorders, hemiplegic migraines, stress-related symptoms, motor vehicle accident recovery, and aesthetic facial rejuvenation. I also work with young women navigating difficult cycles or trauma histories, with neighborhood kids who need more creative care than conventional medicine tends to offer, and I collaborate freely with other providers when your care calls for it.

When I am not with patients or mixing herbal formulas, you will find me on forest trails, swimming in the Gorge, lifting heavy things at the gym, or chasing my two tween boys. I believe healing is deeply personal, often nonlinear, and always worth the work. Come as you are.
